Sam S. Stigliano, 96, of Eatontown, passed away Friday, December 22, 2017. Born in Hoboken, NJ, Sam worked for many years in the garment industry, retiring from Evan Picone in West New York, NJ. Sam was a Golden Gloves champ in 1942 and he won the title in Madison Square Garden. An avid fan of the Yankees and Giants, he never missed a game. A man of great faith, Sam loved the beach and his dog Chloe. He was extremely devoted to his grandchildren and took special interest and joy in their sports and activities. Sam is predeceased by his parents, John and Fortuna Bravenza, his siblings, Peter, Michael, Vincent and Antoinette and his former wife, Adeline Stigliano. Sam is survived by his loving children, Steven Stigliano and Deborah Crapanzano, his cherished grandchildren, Jessica (T.J. Mattson) Crapanzano, Andrew (Carrie) Crapanzano, Tyler (Katharine) Crapanzano, Carlo Stigliano and Gianna Stigliano, as well as his precious great-grandson, Cole Joseph Crapanzano. Sam is also survived by many nieces and nephews whom he loved dearly, as well as his former wife, Helen Stigliano. in the spring, a Memorial Service will be held at Lavalette Beach. which was his happy place.
