Nicola Mannarino

December 6, 1931 ~ March 28, 2022 (age 90)

Tribute

Nicola Mannarino of Eatontown, NJ passed away on Monday, March 28, 2022 at the age of 90. He spent his last days surrounded by his loving family, including his wife, four children and nine grandchildren.
Born in Cotronei, Italy, Nicola came to the United States, where he met and married his wife, Susan, with whom he just celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary this past Valentine's Day. Together they raised their four children. Rooted in traditions and deep family values, family was everything to Nicola, especially as Pop Pop to his nine grandchildren who adored him.
A great cook, whose passion for good fresh food and making sure everyone was fed, and no one was hungry, led him to a life in the restaurant business, where he had a series of Italian restaurants and pizzerias in NYC and New Jersey, including several in Monmouth County. He was an avid gardener, (known especially for his tomatoes) and would constantly give out bags of produce from his lovingly tended garden to anyone, including the kids on the local school-bus that would stop and say good morning from the windows as they passed him working in his garden.
Nicola is preceded in death by his parents Michael and Serafina, his brothers John and Joseph, and his sisters Emilia and Filomena. He is survived by his wife, Susan; his daughter Anna Maria Mannarino and her partner Bruce DeVito; his son and daughter-in-law Nick and Laurie Mannarino, and their children, Nicholas, Amanda and Daniella; his daughter and son-in-law Dolores and Patrick Phillips; his daughter and son-in-law Gina and Domenick Pardo, and their children, Susan, Anthony, Luca, Natalie, Massimo and Lucy-Bella; his sister Lucia Mannarino; and his brother-in-law Anthony Lombardo.

Family and friends may visit on Fri. April 1st from 4-8pm at the Braun Funeral Home, 106 Broad St., Eatontown. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Sat., April 2nd 10am at St. Dorothea's RC Church, 240 Broad St., Eatontown. Entombment will follow at Woodbine Cemetery, Oceanport.
