Mary J. Zieniewicz, 89, of Oceanport, passed away on June 12, 2018 after a long illness. Mary was born in Brooklyn, NY, but lived most of her life in Monmouth County. Mary was a longtime communicant of St. Dorothea’s RC Church in Eatontown. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, especially playing Bingo. Mary was a member of the Fort Monmouth chapter of the Gold Star Wives, St. Dorothea’s Women Guild, the Monmouth County Chapter of Deborah Hospital, and the Fort Monmouth Officer’s Club. She was formerly employed by Central Jersey Bank and Trust Co. in Eatontown and retired as head teller. She was predeceased by her parents, Anthony and Rose (Szczur) Skiba, her brother, John Skiba, and, in 1981, her beloved husband, John S. Zieniewicz. She is survived by her son, Matthew of Oceanport, her daughter, Rose and her husband Dr. Joseph DiFazio of Holmdel, her granddaughter, Carissa DiFazio of Holmdel, her grandson, Charles DiFazio and his wife, Nayema, of Mountain View, CA, and two great granddaughters, Aria and Mira DiFazio of Mountain View, CA. Family and friends may visit on Wednesday, June 20th 3-5 pm and 7-9 pm at the Braun Funeral Home, 106 Broad Street, Eatontown, NJ. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Thursday, June 21st, at 10:00 am at the Church of St. Dorothea in Eatontown, followed by burial at Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Middletown.
