Helen Sexton, age 96, formerly of Eatontown passed away peacefully at Jersey Shore Medical Center to be with our Lord after a brief illness on Tuesday, August 17th. She recently resided at Care One of Wall for the past five months. Helen had lived in Eatontown for over 70 years, moving from Newark after meeting her husband Paul while working together at Westinghouse.
Her love of family was her true pleasure to hold close and enjoy spending time together. She enjoyed raising her three children and then continued to be a guiding light and a loving influence to her three grandsons. Her delight continued when three great-grandsons were brought into her life.
Helen was one of fourteen children growing up in rural PA. She graduated from Berwick High School and always remembered her close friends from those early years.
Being from a large family provided a lifetime of opportunities to make wonderful memories through the many trips back to PA to enjoy family get-togethers.
Helen is predeceased by her husband Paul of 53 years (2001) and their son Byron (2011), her parents Nicholas and Julia Miknich, four brothers, Charles, Steve, Michael, John and six sisters, Katherine, Anna, Mary, Rose, Pauline and Evelyn.
She is survived by her daughters Suzanne Albrecht and her husband Brent of Ocean, Audrey Vint and her husband James of Tinton Falls, three grandsons James and his wife Alanna of North East MD, Brian and wife Jennifer of Oceanport and Jeremy Vint, Tinton Falls, along with three great-grandsons James & Cormac of North East MD and Quinn of Oceanport, sisters Stephanie Tinney, Gig Harbor WA, Irene and husband Roger Bodwalk of Berwick PA and Nancy Algatt, Frenchtown, NJ. In addition, she is survived by many loving nieces and nephews.
