Grace A. Napolitano (nee: Kammel), 68, of Eatontown, passed away Thursday, September 7, 2017. Grace was born and raised in Newark, NJ and lived on Lake Street in the house her father rebuilt. She spent her young life fishing in Branch Brook Park with her father Albert, her mother, Nina, to whom she was devoted to her whole life, and her precious dog, Blackie. Grace attended Sacred Heart School in Newark and spent her free time cleaning and caring for the Sacred Heart Cathedral. When her family relocated to Eatontown, she attended and graduated from Monmouth Regional High School. Grace met the love of her life, Frank Napolitano, at the age of 14 while ice skating and they spent the rest of their years together until he passed away in June of 1998, a loss that she never recovered from. Frank and Grace married four days after her 20th birthday at St. Dorothea’s RC Church in Eatontown and lived briefly “abroad” in Central New Jersey, where they had their son, Anthony, then settled back in Eatontown. Grace dedicated most of her young life to raising her son. In 1984, she embarked upon a 25 year career when she began to work as a temp at Bell Labs in Holmdel, working her way upwards to Executive Assistant to the Vice President at Avaya, Inc. in Lincroft. Grace retired in 2009 and spent the rest of her days taking care of her son, family and friends. Devoted to her family, she gave of herself daily, loving unconditionally and being a dedicated friend to her friends. Grace also loved the beach, walking the boardwalk and expressing her patriotism by volunteering at the polls on election days. Grace was predeceased by her parents, Albert and Nina Kammel and by her beloved husband, Frank Napolitano. She is survived by her loving son, Anthony Napolitano and wife Daria, her precious grandchildren, Alyssa and Frank Napolitano, her uncle, Frank Passaretti and many extended family members, cousins and friends.
