Angela Marie Pfister

May 27, 1932 ~ December 19, 2020 (age 88)


Angela M. Pfister, age 88 passed peacefully on December 19, 2020 at the Chelsea Assisted Living in Tinton Falls. She was born and raised in Matawan, NJ. She was the daughter of Luigi and Maria Cevasco.
Angie was a farm girl spending her after school hours in the fields. She graduated from Matawan High School, third in her class at age 16.
She married William J. Pfister on May 22, 1955 and resided in Eatontown for the majority of her life. Angie worked in the Eatontown school system and Monmouth Regional High School as the superintendent’s secretary. (She was the real boss).
Angela worked at A&S department store in Monmouth Mall as a store clerk and as the original “Ticketron Lady”. Family and friends were always grateful for all those concert tickets. In later years she worked at the Sandpiper Inn in Spring Lake, and Delicious Orchards in Colts Neck. She also volunteered at Monmouth Medical Center, PNC Arts Center and at the Monmouth County Fair.
Angela loved to travel. She took her two sons to Genoa, Italy visiting family in 1965 and attended a Beatles concert while there.
In her retirement years she traveled extensively to places including Iceland, Mexico City, Thailand, South Africa, Russia and many bus trips in the states. She attended many, many Broadway plays in New York.
She thought the world of her three grandsons and brought them all joy on trips to Atlantic City.
Angela is predeceased by her parents, her husband William and sister Jeanette Cevasco. She is survived by her two sons, William (Sandy Blakelock) of Little Silver, and Peter (Kathy) of Howell. Three grandsons, Matthew Pfister, Thomas Pfister and Aaron Pfister. Brothers and sister Louis Cevasco (Martha) of Matawan, George Cevasco (Kathy) of Brick, and Louise Ulrich of Matawan. And many nephews and nieces.
Family and Friends are invited to gather on Saturday, January 2, 2021 from 1:30 PM to 4:00 PM at Braun Funeral Home, 106 Broad Street, Eatontown, NJ. Due to COVID restrictions, we will be allowing 25 people into the funeral home at a time. MASKS ARE REQUIRED.
